Hey~ I am Lori! I am the author and owner of Conversations in Literacy. I started this blog several years ago because I am a lifelong learner and love to talk about all things literacy related. My passion is to build lifelong learners in the classroom with great books, engaging activities and building confidence in students to reach all their potential!
I am a K-12 Reading Specialist. I taught in the classroom before moving into my current reading specialist teaching position. As the RtI Coordinator, I am in charge of assessing students, forming RtI groups and determining what interventions are needed. I am also our building’s Title 1 Coordinator and work with other teachers to bring success to students who are striving in reading, plus coordinating Title 1 events and paperwork.
Creating literacy and reading interventions that make life easier for busy teachers is a joy. Teachers are beyond busy! My goals are sharing ideas, teaching tips and resources that are easy to use, build stronger literacy skills and produce better readers!
