The May Literacy Challenge is here and it is ready for your students! If you missed last month’s challenge and want to grab it for next year, you can find it here.
Like our other monthly challenges, we have included reading and writing and other literacy activities to be completed. Because it is in digital format, students can work on the activities at school and at home. However you choose for them to do it! Find the sign up at the end of this post.
Text Evidence and Test Prep
Are you like our school and will be completing annual testing soon? A great way to prepare for this is with fluency and comprehension passages. Students warm up with word work using multisyllabic words, which is great practice so they know what to do when encountering big words on the test!
These comprehension activities direct students to find text evidence highlighting the evidence to help them with writing comprehension answers. The texts are short and interesting so not to take a long period of time to complete them.
Plus, we have these activities in both digital and printable formats to fit whatever situation your students are in now.
Find the digital versions on our TpT store and the printable versions below on our website shop!
